ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN

THE MUSIC MUST GO ON!

#SOULIDARITY is an initiative by START WITH CULTURE, a non-profit organization based in Germany. Over 188 musicians from around 40 bands have applied for the fund. The goal is to raise a minimum of 700.000 Euros together and to create a relief income to sustain the affected African musicians for the upcoming months. The #SOULIDARITY relief fund gives all eligible applicants a one-time relief payment. The artists who will be selected for the fund will actively create content for the campaign and tell us their personal stories throughout the crisis and how it affects them and their countries. OUR GOAL

To raise a minimum of 700.000 Euro through the #SOULIDARITY campaign.
To provide substantial relief to musicians, most of whom are not getting any support from their governments.
To show solidarity for touring musicians living in Africa and to make sure that they can continue to make music.
To support the over 188 musicians who didn't earn any money since March 2020.

RELIEF PAYMENT

The Soulidarity fund will be distributed to the selected musicians through their managers or agencies. The following payment structure is based on how many shows they had lost. For approx. 200 musicians we need to collect around 700.000 EUR. If we raise less payments will be made in proportion of how many participants, shows and money is collected. If we raise more we will reach out to more musicians who are in need of urgent support.
